CellSerf, a mobile media and technology company based out of New Delhi, India and Sunnyvale, CA, has partnered with Candid Marketing, a leading marketing services company, for developing the mobile advertising market and business in India.Cellserf recently has launched its mobile application for Multimedia Instant Messaging,Global Multimedia Mobile Messaging and Multimedia E-mail that allows users to go beyond the traditional style of communicating in Text. The application and service is free to use, which means with the CellSerf application on the phone, users can exchange Multimedia (MMS) and Text messages for free.

The Instant Messaging service of CellSerf allows Mobile users to send voice, picture and video instant messages to their friends on Yahoo, MSN and Google Talk accounts together.Like any other IM applications for mobile CellSerf IM does not require VoIP or 3G network to send Multimedia IM from mobile.The application uses innovative technology to communicate multimedia content over 2.5G network.

Similarly, the CellSerf mobile Messaging and E-mail allows users to send Video, Picture, Voice and Text messages as SMS and emails to their friends on mobile and desktop respectively.On signing up with CellSerf, users get a mobile email ID that is based on their phone number. For example, a user with mobile number +9198xxxxxxxx in India gets the mobile email ID 9198xxxxxxxx@cellserf.com . The mobile email ID is very useful for friends on computer to send emails that are received instantly on the mobile and which can be replied to. The mobile messaging and email services are also free to use.

To download Cellserf on your mobile-

  • From your mobile browser go to cellserf.com/app and click on download. This installs CellSerf on your mobile handset.
  • Or from your computer click this link and download the JAR and JAD files. Upload them to your phone (using bluetooth, infrared, or serial/USB cable), then install the application by opening the JAD or the JAR file on the phone.

If the installation is successful, you should find CellSerf in the list of installed Java applications for most phones, in the main menu or the “My Own” menu for Symbian phones, or in the “Java Games” menu for some other phone
